Our manufacturing client based in Peterborough seeks a Product Compliance Engineer with a background in compliance, product development, validation, project management or quality. You will be focused on product regulations. relating to diesel engines, batteries and hybrid drive systems. This is a site-based contract role.

As the Product Compliance Engineer you will

Develop an understanding of product standards relating to Diesel Engines, Batteries and Hybrid Drive Systems, across global markets.
Identify and agree the appropriate interpretation of product requirements.
Ensure timely completion of product compliance documentation, risk assessments, and audits. Work with engineers and project leads to identify safety hazards and compliance risks, before agreeing appropriate mitigation actions.
Plan and drive activities to complete within program timelines, ensuring delivery of validation/testing, documentation of test outcomes, and technical review & sign off.

You need to have a experience in

Diesel engines, understanding batteries, drive control systems, functional safety or materials compliance
Interfacing with engineers and working with them using your engineering knowledge
Driving projects independently
