Senior Electronics Engineer, Midlands

My client, a pioneering medical devices company, is currently looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer to join on a permanent basis during a period of exponential growth within the business. The Senior Electronic Engineer will be responsible for whole-lifecycle design, integration, introduction and sustaining of new and updated Printed Circuit Board Assemblies.

Key Job Responsibilities for this position include:
·Ability to develop electronic concepts based on abstract schemes and / or customer specifications whilst considering the interaction with system and other design requirements.
·Digital circuit design (microcontrollers, logic I/0 and digital sensors)
·Power electronics design
·Electronics architecture and integration with system-level architecture
·Work closely with PCB Layout engineers although layout skills are not necessary
·DFM (Design for Manufacture) and DFT (Design for Test)
·DFC (Design for Cost), materials selection and CAD library work
·Design & testing for regulatory / EMC compliance
·Debug and bring-up of prototypes
·Design verification by design inspection and by bench testing and produce design documentation
·Ability to select suitable components & equipment based on analysis of specifications & reliability requirements.


Qualifications/Requirements:
·Electronics Engineering, Applied Physics or similar degree (or equivalent experience)
·At least five years relevant hands-on design experience
·Previous medical electronics experience is an advantage
·Technical writing skills for procedures, quality records and reports
·Microsoft Office skills: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
