Job title: Senior Formulation Scientist

Department: Development Centre

Salary: £36,000 - £45,000 per annum (plus up to £8,000k relocation allowance)

Location: Queenborough, Kent, ME11 5EL

We are currently looking for an agile and flexible Senior Formulation Scientist with excellent team working skills to deliver scientific solutions in timely manner.

About the role

Reporting to the Formulation Manager you will lead and execute formulation & process development activities to ensure robust products and processes are defined and can be used for registration & clinical supply purposes.
You will also:

  • Review new business proposals, define formulation development and process development strategy and work packages

  • Interact with Clients during the new business proposal and throughout project execution

  • Review results of each phase of work, interpret results and adjust next step & technical strategy if required

  • Support trouble shooting activities / Lead investigations into trouble shooting activities.

  • Identify new equipment and support its procurement installation and qualification / Identify new technology & equipment and support its procurement installation and qualification.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Relevant degree (2:1 or above) or equivalent : ie chemistry, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical science

  • At Least 7 years' experience in formulation & process development in pharmaceutical environment

  • Proven experience in a range of technologies (oral solid dose, liquids, suspensions, inhalation)

  • Proven experience of timely delivery of high formulation projects

  • Experience in dealing with Customers

  • Experience in preparing regulatory dossiers: IMPD, IND, CTD.

  • Fully competent in MS office
