SCOPE

The System Engineer is responsible for setting general architectural principles related to hardware, software, network and cloud, part of the global portfolio of innovative solutions, projects, applications and services that Solution Development team develops. She/he is hands-on, and service minded, being in charge for ensuring the accurate design, integration, delivery and reliability from the concept phases to the service launch within specific innovative projects.

JOB DESCRIPTION

His/her main responsibilities include:
Lead the solution engineering integration for specific solutions and service lines.
Design, Architect, Evaluate and Deliver (including develop and test) POCs as well as solutions ready for operations media production systems
Translate functional requests to specific architectural system designs including EVS software and hardware products, as well as other third-party systems. Prepare POCs and evaluation results
Maintain a high-SLA, scalability, reliability and agility mindset in the proposed solution designs
Integrate live, near live and non-linear flows, files and workflows over distributed systems and resources in hosted datacentres and the Cloud
Work with R&D Product Owners, project managers, solutions managers and other stakeholders to translate solution requirements into a cohesive architectures, implementation and roadmap execution plans
Oversee cloud security in collaboration with security teams
Produce documentation, evaluation reports, schemas and descriptions as required

PROFILE

Engineer, Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree in Engineering or Computer Science (high school or university)
5+ years of experience in solutions architecture in the field, software solutions engineering and cloud integration
In-depth knowledge in Data Centre ecosystems, software/hardware engineering
In-depth knowledge in workflow integration and automation through APIs
Knowledge in Media Production IP Systems engineering and integration (SMPTE2110, SMPTE2022)
Experience on Programming Languages: C#, Python, Java.
The following technical experiences are not mandatory, and will be considered as an asset:

Cloud architecture certification is a plus
Experience with Linux
Experience in the broadcast industry
Experience in Agile / Scrum development practices
