Chris joined the pharmaceutical industry in the 1990s with a PhD in organic chemistry.  He had a classic science career with AstraZeneca and Pfizer, taking on roles of increasing technical complexity and seniority in Research before moving into business management and leadership roles in Pharmaceutical Sciences.  Chris’ last role before leaving Pfizer, and moving into consultancy, was in R&D Strategic Alliances and Business Development where he worked with a variety of international partners from academia, through biotech to licensing and acquisitions.  Since leaving Pfizer in 2011 Chris has pursued a successful consulting career across pharmaceuticals, biotech, IT and Upstream oil and gas; working with clients as diverse as GSK, AnaBios, Summit, IPSEN, the Francis Crick Institute and BP.  Chris’ specialty is working closely with senior leaders at times of operational stretch or change, temporarily joining their teams to provide additional experience, capacity and capability to get things done, whilst supporting the development of the client’s team so that Chris’ temporary role naturally becomes redundant.
