Role Overview
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new commercial opportunities, activating dormant accounts, and working closely with the recruitment delivery team to build and grow client relationships. You will serve as a key contact for clients and help convert leads into tangible business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Client Acquisition & Development
Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities with prospective clients.

Build and nurture a strong professional network to support client development.

Reactivate dormant client accounts and strive for preferred or sole supplier status where feasible.

Manage incoming leads and transform them into concrete business opportunities.

Account Management
Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with acquired clients.

Conduct client meetings, deliver presentations, and maintain regular contact.

Negotiate business terms and secure necessary approvals for contract negotiations.

Coordinate and document all client interactions and meetings.

Collaboration & Cross-Selling
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient delivery of recruitment services.

Support the delivery team in candidate sourcing when required.

Leverage internal resources to cross-sell services across departments and solutions.

Candidate Engagement
Network with candidates to generate business leads and expand the candidate pool.

Support recruitment efforts by identifying suitable profiles for client vacancies.

Arrange and facilitate interviews, ensuring full preparation of all parties involved.

Business Operations & Reporting
Drive weekly business development activities to meet agreed targets.

Launch and manage advertising campaigns, commercial meetings, and industry events.

Maintain accurate records and timely updates in internal systems.

Prepare and submit regular management reports on team activity and performance.

Contribute to the creation of team business plans and ensure follow-through on objectives.

Administrative Responsibilities
Ensure timely execution of all administrative tasks related to client management, contracts, and reporting.

Support the coordination and smooth operation of the business development function.

Profile
Proven experience in business development or recruitment within the life sciences or pharmaceutical sector.

Strong networking and client relationship-building skills.

Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
