About the Role
Our client in the telecommunications sector is seeking a Data Catalogue Coordinator to join their Data Governance & Compliance team in Brussels. As a key player in their data transformation journey, you will help drive the implementation of data governance practices to unlock the value of data across the organization-ensuring data is easily discoverable, understandable, and trustworthy.

You will be responsible for defining, managing, and evolving the Data Catalogue service. This role is central to fostering collaboration between IT and business stakeholders to curate and maintain a comprehensive and reliable data inventory.

Key Responsibilities
Take end-to-end responsibility for the delivery of data governance self-services (e.g. glossary, data inventory, metadata management), ensuring their efficiency, adoption, and satisfaction among data workers.

Define and implement data governance processes aligned with the organization's governance principles.

Gather requirements from data, IT, and business teams; translate them into epics, features, and user stories; prioritize them based on business value; and drive their implementation to completion.

Act as Product Manager for your governance services, owning and managing the product backlog.

Monitor and report on the effectiveness and efficiency of your services, focusing on re-use, standardization, and compliance. Propose and implement solutions for continuous improvement.

Guide and coach stakeholders on the use of governance tools and services, providing relevant support materials to ensure self-service capability.

Promote and drive adoption of the data governance tools, measuring usage and engagement regularly.

Collaborate closely with business, IT, and DWH teams to establish governance standards that also respect security and legal constraints.

Serve as the key liaison between the Data Governance & Compliance team and the organization's broader data community.

About You
You hold a Master's degree in IT, Engineering, Business Engineering, or equivalent.

You have 1 to 3+ years of professional experience in a Data Governance, BI/IT Analyst, Data Quality, or Product Management role.

You are comfortable working in a dynamic and Agile environment. Familiarity with methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban is a plus.

You are a proactive problem solver who strives to deliver innovative, customer-centric solutions.

You possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, and are able to tailor your messaging for both technical and non-technical audiences.

You enjoy working in multidisciplinary teams and thrive in complex, evolving environments.

You are pragmatic, results-driven, and adaptable to change.

You are fluent in English (both spoken and written). Knowledge of French or Dutch is a plus.
