Role Overview
Our client seeks a skilled Data and Generation Forecast Analyst to support and improve the update and management of the Hosting Capacity Map (HCM), a critical resource published monthly on their website. This role focuses on data management, archiving strategies, and automating update processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Support Hosting Capacity Map Update Process
Develop a comprehensive understanding of data inputs related to load and generation forecasts.
Review updates to the Hosting Capacity Map input data to ensure quality and precision.
Data Management and Archiving
Collaborate with the scenario data management project lead to define and implement best practices for data storage and archiving.
Assist the department during changes aimed at improving data accessibility and reliability.
Automation and Process Improvement
Participate in proof-of-concept initiatives for integrating new data sources from Distribution System Operators (DSO).
Analyze current workflows and identify requirements to enhance automation of the HCM update process.
Technical Support and Collaboration
Support team members with efficient data handling and manipulation, utilizing tools such as Python.
Work with external data professionals to translate business needs into technical specifications.
Candidate Requirements
Master's degree in Engineering or Software Engineering, with a strong foundation in data management.
Practical experience in data manipulation and programming, especially Python.
Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Dutch and/or French is required.
Willingness or ability to learn additional tools such as R, PowerBI, and Databricks is a plus.
Solid understanding of electrical engineering concepts including energy, power, and reactive power.
Proactive problem-solving skills with an entrepreneurial mindset.
Strong sense of responsibility, professionalism, and team collaboration.
