This is a twelve-month contract. You will utilise your engine control software testing skills to process and develop the hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) systems.
The responsibilities
*Advising others on how to implement test plans.
*Manage deployment of HiL configurations to our UK based test systems
*Manage other supporting software (calibration / service tools etc) on HiL systems
*Developing and maintaining an AutomationDesk / Python based test automation environment for others to use to develop test plans.
Skills and experience
*dSPACE - ControlDesk, AutomationDesk, EESPORT, ConfigurationDesk, Installation Manager, Firmware Manager
oAble to use the above tools for system configuration and test automation
*Python
oAble to create test scripts in versions 2.x and 3.x
*Test processes / procedures
oability to define test plans from all levels of system requirements including main functionality and diagnostic behaviour
*Electronic System Knowledge
oKnowledge of power system and diesel engine control system components (controllers, sensors , actuators etc) sufficient to devise test plans
*Mathworks - Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow
oAble to use and interpret model designs to trouble shoot problems
*Vector
oAble to set up devices / networks for CANape and CANalyzer and use the tools manually of via automation.
This role is interesting because
*You will be setting up a test environment so is a more creative role. Tool development.
*The role is working alongside HM, as well as supporting a team of x5 in Indian and a team of x15 in the UK using the rigs.
You will need a degree in electro-mechanical, electronics or computer science.
Our Peterborough manufacturing client requires a HiL System Configuration Engineer to work between home and site in Peterborough.
