Instrumentation Designer - 6 Months contract - Inside IR35 Via Umbrella, paying up to £55 per day - Based In Surrey - Onsite - Travel to other sites

Our Industrial Gases client is a recognised first mover in renewable energy initiatives. They require an Instrumentation Designer to be based in the Hersham office in Surrey. The position involves travel to other sites when required. You will be supporting the development and documentation of instrument design strategies

You will be:
* Supporting the development on Instrument designs including 3D modelling and reviews
o Activities such as:
o Instrument Index,
o Instrument Location Layouts,
o Cable Schedules,
o Wiring Diagrams/ Schematics,
o Instrument Hook-Ups,
o Instrument Power Distribution,
o Material Take Offs / Bill of Quantities,
o Control Room and Analyzer Room Layouts,
o Cable Routing Layouts
* Designing analyser panels, DCS and Hardwired trip panels
* Meeting company compliance and standards of project

You'll need:
* Previous experience in a similar role,
* Working knowledge of SmartPlant 3D and SmartPlant Instrumentation.
* Bachelor or Master in Instrumentation or equivalent, with relevant experience in an engineering design or operating organisation, preferably within the Process Industry
* The ability to undertake international travel for inspection, construction contractor supervision or commissioning.
* Practical engineering knowledge in order to develop cost effective designs.
