I am partnering with a client who have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their team.
Main responsibilities will include:
Maintenance & support of the Windows Server environment
Maintenance & support of the Microsoft Exchange server (Exchange 201x, Hybrid deployments and Exchange Online)
Day to day management of the core infrastructure (VMWare, Storage, Networking, Routers, Switches, On Premise & Azure
Monitor live environment through internal monitoring systems keeping both hardware & software running
Work with and manage the relationship with external service providers
In conjunction with relevant parties, manage & maintain network switches & firewalls
Ensure all IT infrastructure documentation exists and is up to date
Skills/Experience:
Proven experience working in similar positions managing on premise and cloud infrastructure
Experience of Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022) and of administering, managing and maintaining AD, DHCP, DNS and Group Policy
Experience working with virtualisation platforms including VMWare and Citrix XenApp
Good practical understanding of networking (segmentation, switching, routing etc)
Experience managing Exchange Server & Exchange Online
Ability to understand, create and run scripts
Good knowledge of cloud technologies (specifically Azure and Office 365)
This will be a hybrid role so candidate will be expected to be able to attend the office as an when needed on a weekly basis.
