A Leixlip based company seeks a local Commissioning HSE to lead on

*Overseeing transition from construction to commissioning SIMOPS and following commissioning and start up activities from HSE perspective.
*Provide supervision to crews / staff and create an effective open communication line with client HSE department, clients, and regional contractors on all matters of health and safety in order to adhere to compliance with safe working procedures.
*Conduct regular safety audits to ensure full compliance with company policy and current legislation recommending improvements where deficiencies have been discovered. Compile data and produce detailed reports on the findings to Senior Management.
*Take appropriate and robust action for any failings and non-compliance with company standards and expectations and manage / implement corrective actions.
*Perform regular inspections to identify compliance with the management system, including recommendations for corrective or preventive action where appropriate.
*Lead and conduct risk assessments to ensure that standards and legal requirements are consistent with the national standard requirements, using Risk Assessment / Analysis Methodologies and raise non-¬compliances during meetings.
*Conduct incident and accident investigations and reporting, including root cause analysis, ensuring that all accidents are recorded, investigated, and notify Senior Management where necessary.
*Responding promptly and effectively to changing circumstances, planning for contingencies, and managing conflicting priorities.
*Organise and chair regular safety meetings with the crews, contractors, and client's representatives.
*Carry out maintenance and accurately record details of all Safety and emergency equipment.
*Provide guidance and support in establishing a risk-based culture and approach to the management of safety.
*Work with all levels of management and staff with a focus on training and behavioural based mentoring, adding to ongoing recognisably improved safety cultures while promoting a safe and excellent working environment that is aligned to working practices.

Your Education and experience

*BS in ChE/ME
*Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE
*ASU; petrochemical or other related chemical plant commissioning or operation
*Fully versed in the implementation of HSE management plans, SIMOPS
*PTW Procedures, Issuance, Monitoring.
*Risk Assessments.
*LO-TO Controls
*Method Statement Development / Review.
*Internal / External Safety Audits.
*Safety Meeting Facilitator.

Extra information

· Salary Information
Salaries will be competitive for the Ireland region.
· Working Hours
6 days/ week, 10hrs/day on site, excluding travel time between accommodation and site.
