An industrial gases client requires a General Duties Operative in the Rochester, Kent area. You will be reporting to the ASU Supervisor/Facility Operations Supervisor
Your Primary Purpose will be to ensure facility and building maintenance activities are executed to ensure the facilities function, meet company standards and safety expectations.
The responsibilities of the role are
*General handy person type activities.
*Working within a small industrial operations site.
*Primarily outdoor working.
*Cleaning equipment using water pressure washer and hand tools.
*Maintaining paint work, general touching up of wear and tear.
*Cleaning of staff office areas and amenities.
*Assisting operational staff with routine maintenance duties.
*Small workshop activities, using hand tools.
*Short delivery journeys using site van.
Experience and skills of the General Duties Operative
*Carry out all activities in a safe manner following instructions and procedures.
*Ideally have a background with engineering field or manufacturing.
*Have skills in using hand tools.
*Be self-motivated and able to work unsupervised or as part of a small team.
