Contract as an Oil & Gas or Hydrogen focused Construction Piping Superintendent on a significant project in Rotterdam. Involving the retrofitting of a grey hydrogen production facility. The resulting low-carbon hydrogen is planned to serve the Rotterdam refinery and additional customers in industry and mobility via a hydrogen pipeline network system.


You will have a Construction Piping Superintendent background covering ten years in the Oil & Gas industry

* Must demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of recognized piping codes including the B31.3.
* Have a thorough knowledge and proven ability in construction techniques with emphasis on piping erection, pre-fabrication, painting, insulation, testing and quality control.
* Knowledge of ASME and other relevant standards and codes
* Managing construction on behalf of the client rather than through an EPC.
* Executing Bill of Quantity construction contracts.


A short list of duties - there will be more!

* The successful execution of the overall piping scope including supports, painting, testing and insulation for allocated areas of the site in accordance with the project schedule, cost and other KPIs.
* Monitoring pre-fabrication of pipework to include Weld quality.
* Correct installation of piping, pipe supports, valves and other in-line equipment in accordance with the isometrics, P&ID, support drawings and all other drawings, specifications, and standards.
* Maintenance of the necessary cleanliness of piping systems and the use of dry air purges where necessary.
* Painting is applied correctly to surfaces that have been correctly prepared. Ensure that adequate QC checks are made to ensure the correct coat dry film thickness and adhesion.
* Insulation materials are correctly applied. To ensure that cryogenic pipe insulation is applied with the correct vapour barriers and that cladding does not use screws which penetrate the vapour barrier.
