I am currently working with one of the top ten global biotechnology companies to watch in 2020, who have real focus on the development and commercialization of unique gene therapies to change lives. They have a strong pipeline with two clinical trials ongoing, where one trial has just moved into phase 3. This allows my client to have a real chance to change the lives of patients by providing directed gene therapy as a life long and potentially curative treatment.


You will have a strong focus on developing biochemical assays, including ELISA, flowctometry, cell-based assay development etc.

Identify and develop new assays and analytical techniques. While also, Following existing SOPs for cell assays.

Must be able to analyse and interpret data which the results will need to be presented in team meetings and company wide meetings.

You will be asked to provide advice and guidance to junior researchers to allow effective running of the laboratory.


Must Educated to degree level or equivalent with a pharmaceutical related or biotech related degree.

Ideally PhD in Biochemistry, straight from academia

Experience in performing biochemical, biophysical and/or cell-based assay techniques, including ELISA, HTRF, Biacore etc.

Desired experience working with viral vectors ( AAV) and within ATMP's space would be ideal.
