I am currently partnered with a market leader in the UK genomics space who are seeking the support of an ambitious Business Development professional to assist with their NGS business. This role will be reporting into the VP of Sales and the successful individual will be tasked with selling their NNGS related products.


Role and Responsibilities:

  • Work with the sales team in the development of regional and account-specific sales plans

  • Execution of plan to meet sales quotas

  • Effectively prospect and generate new customer leads

  • Map opportunities and key opinion leaders within the European region

  • Provide support to sales team in progressing opportunities in their territories

  • Delivery of technical/scientific seminars and presentations on products and services

  • Demonstrate command of scientific knowledge to engage in high level collaborative, multi - faceted sales process

  • Partner cross-functionally to appropriately address the needs of customer base

  • Provide regular, accurate revenue forecasts

  • Manage new and existing customer base

  • Develop and maintain strong customer connections at various levels in the organization


Background and Experience:

  • Life Science Degree is required, advanced degree preferred

  • Min. 5 years commercial experience

  • Experience in a strategic selling environment

  • NGS, array and Cytogenetics experience strongly favoured

  • Demonstrated track record in lead generation and prospecting

  • Highly adaptable and independent

  • Strong desire to win business and establish long-term customer relationships

  • Previous demonstrated success with complex sales and complex purchasing processes

  • Ideally located in the UK or continental Europe, working from home.

  • Fluent spoken and written English language required, additional language skills a bonus

  • 50% field travel at minimum
