Are you an experienced Civil Superintendent ready to play a pivotal role on a cutting-edge blue hydrogen plant project in the heart of Rotterdam's industrial zone? We're looking for a highly skilled and safety-focused leader to join our team!
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the primary field interface for the principal contractor on all civil/architectural works
Oversee underground piping installations including GRE and HDPE
Deliver daily progress reports, highlight labour usage and flag commercial impacts
Drive and enforce HSE compliance, including weekly inspections and safety audits
Support method statement and risk assessment reviews with a focus on safety and quality
Monitor permit to work systems and ensure robust Safe Plans of Action are followed
Manage coordination of multi-disciplinary field activities and resolve interface issues
Oversee contractor performance, ensuring compliance with quality standards and ITPs
Collaborate with vendor reps, contractors, and client during walkdowns and coordination meetings
Support Construction Manager in performance evaluations and progress tracking
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of experience on major capital projects within EPC contractor teams
Proven hands-on experience in civil and underground pipework (GRE, HDPE)
Strong track record working with Dutch civil contractors - local knowledge is a plus!
Excellent understanding of technical, labour, scheduling, and quality aspects of civil works
Sharp focus on health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards
Language Requirements:
English: Mandatory
Dutch: Desirable
