Digital Field Communications Engineer - London (with international travel) - £325-350 per day - Initial 12 month contract
Duties will include:

Analyse the designed network to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement

Perform network modelling, analysis and planning

Produce architecture designs and roadmaps, and author both HLDs and LLDs
-
Lead technical discussions with service companies around their WAN and MPLS offerings
-
Assess vendor test strategies and govern test plans
-
Inspect and verify Digital Field Communications systems
-
Other duties as appropriate
Skills/Experience:
-
Proven ability to drive enterprise architecture best practices
-
Track record working in Telecommunications Engineer, Architect or Technical Assurance roles
-
Expert knowledge of Network Infrastructure Architecture and Operational Critical systems such as Fibre and Microwave Transmission layers

Certification and hands on experience of a number of the following - Cisco CPT, WAN and LAN routing protocols (EIGRP, IGRP, BGP, HSRP); Ethernet switching technologies; Wireless network technologies, Cisco WCS and access points; Network authentication protocols and network monitoring protocols.
