My client, a defence contractor and information technology services provider, is currently looking for an HR Business Partner to join on a permanent basis during a period of exponential growth within the business.
The HR Business Partner will lead and direct experienced professionals, lower level supervisors, or associate managers. They will communicate within and outside of the organisation to explain and influence changes to HR policies, practices and approaches. They will make significant improvements in HR processes, systems and products as well as establish short-term operational plans with measurable contribution to the function and business area results. The HR Business Partner will have solid management and leadership knowledge within HR and comprehensive knowledge within professional discipline.
The successful individual will work closely with the leadership team and staff to define and execute HR strategies that enable accomplishment of business objectives. They will establish, implement and oversees human resources policies and programs by providing counsel and assistance to employees and management in HR matters. Duties may include advising on matters pertaining to contract negotiation, grievance cases, arbitrations, conciliations, and compliance with federal and state labour legislation, etc.
The role requires management and leadership knowledge in the relevant job area. Typically, the successful candidate will have comprehensive knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline and may have broad understanding of other areas within the job function. In terms of education, the HR Business Partner will have gained either a Bachelor's Degree and bring a minimum of 9 years prior related experience or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
