Mission Overview
We are seeking an IoT Developer to join the IoT Center of Expertise. In this role, you will support the development, implementation, and maintenance of IoT solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify requirements, design solutions, and ensure successful deployment and integration of IoT technologies.
This position involves hands-on work with IoT devices, sensors, connectivity protocols, analytics tools, and cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities
1. IoT Solution Design & Development
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze project requirements.
Contribute to architecture design, including device selection, connectivity, and data flow.
Develop proof-of-concept prototypes to validate feasibility.
2. Implementation & Deployment
Install, configure, and test IoT devices, sensors, and gateways.
Ensure secure and reliable device connectivity.
Integrate IoT systems with existing applications and infrastructure.
Troubleshoot deployment issues.
3. Research & Innovation
Stay current with IoT technologies, standards, and best practices.
Evaluate emerging tools, platforms, and frameworks.
Provide recommendations on relevant innovations.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work with developers, data scientists, and network engineers.
Participate in technical discussions and requirement workshops.
5. Documentation & Reporting
Produce technical documentation, specifications, and user guides.
Report project progress, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.
Requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Relevant experience in IoT development and integration.
Full-stack development capability is preferred.
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of IoT concepts, architectures, and protocols.
Experience with platforms such as Azure IoT, Kafka, MongoDB, and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, MQTT).
Experience with device integration, data collection, and analytics.
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Team-oriented mindset.
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
Languages
Good command of English.
Dutch and/or French required.

Location: Brussels
Onsite Requirement: Minimum 2 days per week onsite
Work Regime: Full-time
