I am currently working with one of world's largest online gaming companies that are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join the expanding team. This company have hubs in Gibraltar, Spain and the UK, with over 400 employees, and work with more than 15 million customers worldwide.
*Guide and support our User Interface Designers and inspire them to be their best.
*Continue to ensure good collaboration with other teams and areas across the company including our brand and creative partners.
*Find ways to improve how the team works, with regular feedback and reviews of current practices.
*Be responsible for the hiring and onboarding of new designers as well as day to day people management including 121s and coaching.
*Help make our design system a foundation for the use of interface across the organisation.
*Define and agree workflows to ensure transparency of design practices.
*Scale and manage our design systems to create efficiencies for our designers.
*Improve our documentation of animation, interaction design and microinteractions to enhance the experience.
*Choose metrics for measuring design quality and improve upon them over time.
*Ensure we have constructive and open dialogue with all members of the organisation, including product, creative and technology teams, marketing managers, country managers and senior executives.
*Be a driving force of implementation of a common design language to enable the company to be consistent when we present interfaces leading to increased trust.
*Provide team with open, straightforward feedback on their work and demonstrated behaviour.
*Experience of Native App design with a portfolio that shows your well thought out work.
*Experience in design documentation such as the creation, design and maintenance of a design system.
*Good knowledge on best practice and accessibility guidelines.
*Expert with tools for the role like Figma/Sketch/AdobeXD; (we use Figma).
*Familiar with the abilities and challenges of Material and Human Interface Guidelines.
*Ability to collaborate, listen and debate with designers, developers and stakeholders alike.
Nice to have
*Knowledge of organisational tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
*Experience with interaction design and User Experience.
*Relevant experience designing Native applications.
*Working knowledge of Native app development and technical constraints and opportunities.
*Understanding of principles of conversion and usability.
