You will also have experience of leading projects and be proficient in MS Office using excel and PowerPoint for analysis and reporting.
Working on purchasing projects with the Purchasing department that buys engine components, within this there are a variety of different aspect. You would be focusing on supporting an internal business unit who have asked for cost reduction on certain product, looking it localisation for certain components (e.g. suppliers local to facilities).
Initiatives on Make vs Buy, should we make or buy the part
You will lead these projects, working with all relevant purchasing functions (global). You will be required to take the project, break it down and divide to the suitable people/departments. Govern this process ensuring completion is on time. Liaising with all people involved, then reporting back to the business to provide and overview update.
Ad hoc work - e.g. information on current processes, suppliers, risk etc.
*Co-ordination and project ownership of supplier related initiatives
*RFQ activity - working with global Category and Facility purchasing team
*Cost reduction initiatives - Represent Purchasing as stream leader
*Lead supplier localisation activities
*Lead NPI and product deletion projects
*Lead make vs buy initiatives
*Provide support to the product team
*Provide feedback any governance on key projects
This is for an initial 12 month contract to start ASAP working from home until it is safe to return to the office in Peterborough
