The role:

Supporting new business sales and relationship management, we are looking for a sales engineer to help drive revenue growth with a primary focus on supporting the product and market elements of the sale. Our customers and prospects are custodians (global and local), banks, brokers, and issuer agents who have global proxy voting requirements.

You will work with the sales team to build new customer relationships from a defined target list of opportunities with an initial focus on European intermediaries.

Your efforts to ensure adoption of the companies platform, will require close collaboration with all there business functions, including senior management, business development, legal, product, marketing, operations, and technology.

As client connectivity to the companies platform increases, there will be opportunities to expand sales efforts into adjacent product areas as well as help us grow our global sales footprint as we move into Asia, Africa, and North America.

Responsibilities:

Gain a deep understanding of Proximity's products and services and the eco-system they work within

Setting up and conducting product demos and solution presentations to customers at all levels (including C level).

Preparing proposals and quotations, responding to RFIs and RFPs

Act as an advisor to our sales and relationship teams in presentations and sales activities and identifying professional services opportunities

Presenting standard services & designing customised elements of solutions within agreed bounds

Leading business and technical client workshops and POCs

Effectively communicating customer needs to the product teams for product enhancements, being that bridge between product and sales.

Assisting the product and marketing teams around changes to roadmap and presentation of the there services

Running and managing customer workshops and demonstrations to explore technical and business aspects of an opportunity with customers and there sales teams

Requirements

5+ years of experience working in the Asset Servicing / Custody / Post Trade space in either a product or technical sales or relationship role

Good knowledge of the corporate actions and proxy voting ecosystem

Logical problem definition and analysis (flowcharting or other diagramming experience useful)

Strong interpersonal and analytical skills and the ability to understand and communicate business value effectively

Experience in working in cross-functional, multinational teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English

Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Solid organizational skills, attention to detail and multi-tasking skills

As Covid-19 restrictions ease, flexibility to travel within Europe and ability to work in a multinational and multi-cultural environment

Understanding of IT architecture, technology trends, and cloud services -advantage
Exposure to Agile and Waterfall project methodologies (Prince2 certification a benefit) -advantage

Proven track record in conducting demos and C level presentations -advantage

Proven track record in preparing proposals, RFI/RFP responses -advantage

BSc in Engineering, Computer Science, Finance/Banking or Business Management- advantage
