Senior Electronic Engineer - Dundee - £40-£45 per hour

My client, a global technology company leading how the world connects, interacts and transacts with business, is currently looking for a Senior Electronic Engineer to join the secure devices team on a contract basis during a period of exponential growth. They are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated and tenacious individual educated to degree level in an Electronic Engineering or other related field or equivalent work experience in Electronic Engineering environment. The successful applicant will work as part of a highly motivated team striving to meet all quality, cost and schedule targets across a range of devices

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design, develop and document test procedures to validate functionality

  • PCB Soldering and board debug skills

  • Hardware unit test, and supporting integration and systems testing

  • Provide estimates of effort, schedule, and size of change to Project Manager

  • Regular progress reporting on schedule, quality & size of change

  • Support for existing security devices through problem investigation, identification and resolution


Qualifications / relevant experience:

  • Honours Degree qualified

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in analogue design of sensors, magnetics and RF.

  • Experience developing MCU based products and USB Devices

  • Design for EMC compliance

  • Analogue and Digital Design methodologies knowledge


Desirable experience:

  • USB Compliance

  • Industrial grade design

  • FPGA (Verilog/VHDL) design knowledge

  • Software Development
