I am currently seeking a Cell Biologist Scientist for exciting organisation in Hertfordshire. Please see the Job description below.

Would you like the chance to join an award winning global biotechnology Company who focus on development and commercialisation of innovative gene therapies to change lives? My client has a broad pipeline with two clinical trials ongoing and two more coming in 2020 which allows more opportunities to change lives of patients by providing directed gene therapy as a life-long and potentially curative treatment.

You will be given the freedom to design experiments and participate in the planning of research. Furthermore, you will be taking a leading role in duties associated with the effective running of the laboratory. Moreover, this opportunity will allow you to participate in mentoring junior staff, ensuring a safe working environment and contributing to continuous improvement in the lab.

Prior knowledge on the execution of preclinical AAV studies using various in vitro and in vivo model systems related to AAV gene therapy development

Understanding of one or more areas of the following: cell biology, cell co-culture systems, cell-based assays, ex vivo tissue processing and histology.

Have the ability to execute various routine cell culture and in vitro cell-based assays that are associated with the pre-clinical candidate selection and validation of novel AAV-based gene therapy. You will be expected to be fully engaged in general laboratory activities, meetings and discussions.

A PhD or Ms in Cell Biology, Immunology or related discipline, with postdoctoral research or commercial experience

Maintain effective communication skills, demonstrated ability to interact effectively within and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

If you are looking to share an ambition of excellence and you are looking for a high paced work environment, this could be perfect fit for you.
