I am partnering with a client based in Leicestershire who are recruiting for a Systems Architect to join their established software engineering team.

Duties will include:

Proactive participation in product definition and roadmap
Reviewing marketing information and creating design specifications
Ensuring requirements are captured, specified & translated correctly into cohesive system concepts and development plans
Systems analysis and the creation of design concepts(.ppt) and articulating this information
Hands on experience in defining interface, communication methods, information exchange and data structures.
Take the lead and be accountable for the software system functional design concept (UI and application running on an embedded system)
Contribution in the definition of product and software/firmware architecture and design decisions
Remain current with new technologies, techniques, and methodologies
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineers·
Advocate the usage of quality improvement and control tools
Ability to influence, suggest and proactively implement process improvements
Collaborate with others in the definition and communication of your design concepts
Experienced in working with embedded software systems (STM32, linux) and user interfaces

Skills/Experience:

Demonstrable hands on experience in a lead position of full life cycle embedded software development
Experienced using C/C++ and C#
Capable of prototyping system concepts and introducing new systems and methodologies
Experienced with the development of STM32 and similar microprocessor and microcontroller embedded UI, application and driver software
Development of a multi-processor embedded linux system using Ethernet and CAN embedded communications
Requirements capture, System architect and concept design creation and documentation
Team leadership and project time planning and reporting. Use of Agile and/or waterfall methodologies
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
Degree or equivalent qualification in Software/Electronic Engineering
