The Systems Engineering Manager will provide technical leadership driving technical excellence at every level while leading the team to identify and address technical risks early through rigorous design reviews, provide project leadership communicating detailed concepts to team members focusing the team on priorities and driving design decisions to keep on schedule ensuring quality and support launch and service. Provide leadership and management of the Systems Engineering efforts within the organisation whilst ensuring co-ordination and cohesion with other internal functions of your team.
To plan, manage resource and deliver work packages to ensure the technical and commercial success of the company's products and systems, to ensure adherence to the company's policies, processes and procedures, particularly regarding QA compliance (ISO 13485, FDA) etc., create develop and maintain Systems Engineering processes, procedures and work instruction in collaboration with the QA Team.
Requirements & Responsibilities:
*Appropriate engineering or science degree
*Experience and knowledge of architecture, design, development and testing of complex mechatronic products and systems
*Experience of transferring designs through manufacture and launch
*Knowledge and experience of working to Quality Management System (ISO 13485 and/or ISO 9001)
*Sound understanding of risk management principles applied to the development of safety critical systems
*Experience of planning and delivering complex development programmes
*Experience of managing teams of engineers (internal and external)
