The Oil and Gas industry is a key economic contributor to the UK, providing around £24 billion to the country’s GDP in 2018. With new investment and new projects, increased drilling activity and the highest level of production efficiency in a decade, oil and gas is a growth sector. Total production for the year is estimated to be between 630 to 640 million boe, with the industry supporting around 270,000 jobs in the UK during 2019.
